The Midweek Reset · LIVEOne free hour with Claire O'Connor

Chief Everything Officer

You are the one who has it handled. At work, at home, and usually before 8 am. You are also, most likely, already doing the job above you, without the title or the pay.

One hour of practical coaching, free.

On Wednesday 9 September you will leave with three things: one tool you can use the same day, one boundary drawn around a situation you are actually in, and one thing off your plate by Friday. Nothing theoretical. Claire works with what is in the room, on the day.

What you take away

Three things you can use before the week is out.

This is not an hour of theory about balance. You bring one real situation, and Claire works on it with you, live.

01

A tool for your next meeting

It is called the Power Pause and it takes about six seconds. You use it in the moment you are talked over, or about to say yes to something you have no room for.

What changes: you stop agreeing to things before you have had time to think. It is the tool Claire's clients come back to most.

02

One boundary, and the words to hold it

Not a system, and not a new way of living. One line, and language that makes it easy to keep.

What changes: the load stops defaulting to you. Claire's own boundary is simple. If she is cooking, she is not cleaning. She has held it for years.

03

One thing off your plate by Friday

Before the hour closes you will name it. One thing that currently runs only through you, and who else could hold it.

What changes: you notice how quickly you explain why it has to be you. That is usually the part worth looking at.

Why this hour

One thing goes wrong, and the whole week goes with it.

"Last Friday a client told me she had just had a great week off. Monday morning her babysitter was sick, and by 9 am she was back at her desk in what she called a complete write-off."

One person. One morning. The whole week gone. That is not a personal failing. It is what happens when a system depends on one person, and that person is you.

There is a career cost to this, and it is the part that often goes unsaid. The work you absorb is invisible. It does not appear in a review. Men are promoted on potential and women are promoted on proof, and invisible work produces no proof. So the load grows each year while the recognition stays where it was.

The first question Claire will ask, live

"What is the one thing that, if it goes wrong, takes your whole week down with it?"

Put it in the chat. Claire will read several out. The rest of the hour is spent on those, not on a hypothetical.

What changes afterwards

Three women who were carrying the same load.

Deirdre, Site Head in pharma

She came to Claire overwhelmed after a promotion, sure she had lost her grip on everything. They found the places where she was the only point of failure at work, and took her out of them. She now leads her site, speaks at conferences, and has been promoted again.

Elle, VP of Marketing

The doer of everything, at work and at home. They worked on the words she used to stop people pleasing and to hand more to her husband. She got a raise, a promotion, and started building a second home.

Jenn, business owner and USA sprinter

She was taking coaching calls at 4:30 am to keep other people happy, and it was affecting her performance. Her sleep and energy came back, she hired the support she needed, and she is still sprinting for the USA.

And one who will stay anonymous. Her win of the week was not a promotion. It was her husband doing the laundry while she went for a half hour run with her son. That is what this looks like in an ordinary week.

No one is coming to save you. You have to take the next step yourself.Claire O'Connor

It takes twenty seconds. First name, last name, email. Your Zoom link arrives straight away. Places are limited so the room stays small enough to work in, and cameras are optional.

If the hour is useful and you would like to keep going, Claire offers everyone in the room a first coaching call, free and with no strings. Only if it feels right do you talk about anything further. The hour itself is yours either way.
